1. Introduction

Working Order Ltd. ("Working Order," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Working Order application (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials. If you sign in with Google or Intuit, we receive your name and email from those providers.

QuickBooks Data: When you connect your QuickBooks Online account, we access your company's estimates, invoices, customers, projects, products and services, inventory transactions (purchases, bills, and credits), employee information, time activities, and — if you use QuickBooks Payroll — the pay types assigned to your employees, as needed to provide the Service. We store OAuth tokens to maintain the connection.

Usage Data: We collect information about how you use the Service, including time entries, project status updates, inspection records, and photos you upload.

Device Information: We may collect browser type, IP address, and device information for security and analytics purposes.

Cookies: We use essential cookies only — to keep you signed in and to remember which of your companies you are working in. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, maintain, and improve the Service
• To sync data between your organization and QuickBooks Online
• To manage user accounts and organization memberships
• To send transactional emails (invitations, notifications)
• To provide customer support
• To detect and prevent fraud or security issues

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL) with encryption at rest (AES-256). QuickBooks OAuth tokens are additionally encrypted at the application level (AES-256-GCM) before storage. Photos and files are stored in private storage buckets and served only through authenticated, expiring links.

We use HTTPS for all data transmission and implement industry-standard security measures including row-level security, secure authentication, and regular security headers.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in the following circumstances:

• QuickBooks Online: Data is synced to and from your connected QuickBooks Online account as part of the core Service functionality.
• Service Providers: We use Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database, authentication, and file storage), and Stripe (subscription billing) to operate the Service. These providers process data on our behalf. Payment card details are handled entirely by Stripe and never touch our servers.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Export your data
• Disconnect your QuickBooks account at any time

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account or disconnect your organization, we delete your data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

8. QuickBooks Disconnect

You may disconnect your QuickBooks Online account at any time from the app settings. Upon disconnection, we revoke the OAuth tokens and stop syncing data. Previously synced data remains in your Working Order account until you request deletion.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
